Ingredients
- 2 (8 oz) tubes crescent roll dough
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Add the butter and garlic to a small saucepan and melt over low heat for 1-2 minutes until the garlic has softened.
- 3
Unroll the crescent dough into rectangles. Cut each rectangle in half lengthwise to get 8 strips per tube (16 total).
- 4
In a small bowl, combine the mozzarella and Parmesan. Brush each dough strip with the garlic-butter mixture, then sprinkle with parsley, basil, and the cheese blend.
- 5
Roll each strip into a tube with the filling inside, then tie each into a knot by crossing the ends and tucking them through.
- 6
Arrange the knots on the baking sheet and bake about 15 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Brush the hot knots with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with extra Parmesan, herbs, and a pinch of salt.
